Throughout my photographic practice I have focused on mental health and my own personal experiences; I use the process as a form of therapy.
I have realised a lot about myself as a result of being forced within my own company. Self-isolation has allowed me to address issues within myself that I have previously ignored. It has been a bittersweet experience, forcing me to focus on parts of myself that I have suppressed. These feelings of inner tension surface in each image.

Isolation, 2020

This project, ‘I Don’t Know What’s Real’, is a self-analysis performed through body language, clothing and framing. The objects which accompany provoked my interest in times of boredom. Together, these fragments embody my mental wellbeing during a difficult period. This diaristic approach is so cathartic, yet mentally draining. The images feature deliberate ambiguities, in order to both shield and amplify inner feelings that I find difficult to express in words.
